WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO PARTNER WITH GOD (3)

WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO PARTNER WITH GOD (3)

The Holy Spirit; Our sufficient help on this journey

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

For the purpose of this series, The final and most important factor for believers to consider when we decide to partner with God is the Holy-Spirit.

The Holy Spirit: God in Us

The Holy Spirit is not merely an option for the Christian life. He is the indispensable Person of the Godhead who enables us to truly live for God. When you say “yes” to partnering with God, we must understand that it is the Holy Spirit who empowers that partnership.

He is God in us. Our Teacher and Helper. He is the One who makes the supernatural natural in our lives. Without Him, we are limited by our flesh. But with Him, we become vessels through which God can birth His purposes on the earth.

JesusOur Example of a Spirit-Led Life

Even Jesus, though fully God, lived fully as a man during His time on earth. He depended entirely on the Holy Spirit to fulfill His divine assignment. The life of Jesus is the exampleof a man empowered by the Spirit of God.

Every act of obedience, every miracle, every word He spoke- He did by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said in John 16:14, “He will glorify Me because it is from Me that He will receive what He will make known to you.” The Holy Spirit reveals the heart and mind of the Father to us. If Jesus, the Son of God, needed the Holy Spirit to live victoriously, how much more do we?

The Power of the Spirit in the Early Church

Before His ascension, Jesus made a profound promise:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 1:8 (NIV)

The disciples were instructed to wait in Jerusalem until they were clothed with power from on high. When the Holy Spirit came upon them, everything changed.

A once fearful and timid Peter became bold and eloquent. In Acts 3, the same man who denied Jesus stood up and healed a lame man at the temple gate. In Acts 2, he preached a powerful sermon that led 3,000 souls to salvation. The Holy Spirit not only empowered Peter to speak, but also convicted hearts to respond.

The Spirit Makes the Difference

No one can truly walk this path of divine partnership by human strength alone. God never intended for us to. That’s why He sent us the Holy Spirit to enable us to do what we cannot do by ourselves.

Our spiritual growth, obedience, consecration, and fruitfulness are all outcomes of His indwelling presence. Purpose and assignment becomes productive, impactful, and aligned with God’s heart when the Spirit takes the lead.

Learn to Rely on Him Daily

Choosing to partner with God is essentially choosing to walk hand-in-hand with the Holy Spirit… every day.

He is the Spirit of adoption, the One who affirms that we are indeed children of God (Romans 8:15-16).

We must learn to yield, to trust, and to apportion to God what only He can do. The move of God in any life or ministry is never a result of human effort alone—it is always the work of the Spirit.

“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the LORD Almighty.

Zechariah 4:6

The Holy Spirit is God’s greatest gift to us for the journey of faith. He is not just a helper in moments of need; He is our constant companion, our daily guide, and our ever-present source of strength. To ignore His presence is to choose struggle. But to walk with Him is to walk in ease.

This is the surest way to partner with God.
