WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO PARTNER WITH GOD

When You Choose to Partner with God

In our last post, we established a foundational truth: God will not move in or through our lives unless we choose to partner with Him

Not because He lacks the power, but because He honours the gift He’s given us—the power of choice. He will never violate our will.

This is why, even though salvation is vital and freely available, God will never force it on anyone. He has already provided everything we need for life and godliness, but the decision to embrace it remains ours to make.

Ezekiel 22:30 says,
“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

God is always searching for someone willing to say “yes.” Someone who will stand in the gap, who will carry His burden for their family, their community, their generation. He wants to move, but He moves only through yielded men and women.

So, what does it mean to partner with God?

1. It Begins With Surrender

The first and most vital step is surrender.
You cannot fully partner with God without first yielding your life to Him. This begins with salvation—accepting Him as Father through Jesus Christ—and continues with a daily choice to let Him be Lord.

A surrendered heart is not a perfect heart. It’s a willing heart.

One that says, “Lord, have Your way in me.” It is the heart that opens itself up to be built, corrected, moulded, and pruned. It’s the heart that admits, “I cannot do this on my own,” and lays itself at the feet of the One who can.

God does not seek perfection; He seeks surrender.

2. Seek Him With All Your Heart

“You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”
—Jeremiah 29:13

The second step is pursuit. Not half-hearted, but a relentless seeking. This is key because desire to walk with God should revolve purely around God.

Many of us come to God for different reasons, some come outof pain, others out of curiosity, and some simply because they were invited.

And that’s okay. But as we grow, something must shift. He must become the reason. Our pursuit must become about Him, not just what He can give.

There’s a divine irony in the kingdom:
When you chase after God’s heart, everything else follows. When He becomes the sole object of your affection, when your eyes are fixed on Him, truly desiring to know Him, to love Him, He begins to reveal who you are.

A version of yourself you didn’t even know existed.

Suddenly, the timid become bold.
The weak become strong.
The ordinary becomes extraordinary.

He Shows You… You

As you stay in His presence, He holds up a mirror—not to shame you, but to show you the version of you that He sees. The version that can birth possibilities in Him.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.” —Jeremiah 29:11

Although Popular, this scripture will forever be rich, almost like a divine assurance. And when you partner with God, He begins to walk you into the reality of that promise. Your life is transformed. Bit by bit. Step by step. And then, you become ready for the very things He prepared for you.

Because the truth is, your alignment with God isn’t just about you.
It’s about birthing His purpose through you, for your generation.

And as you partner with Him, you’ll find the “future and hope” He has promised. And it unfolds with every “yes” you give Him.

By God’s grace, we’ll continue in the next post.
