Not By Power
{Zechariah 4 vs 6}”
Have you ever tried so hard to fix a situation, only to feel like you’re hitting a wall?
You prayed, strategized, planned and still, nothing changed. Or maybe it got worse.
I think we’ve all had those moments where we wanted desperately to do something, to fix something, but we couldn’t.
Pause for a second and think about one of those times in your life. Now let me ask: can you see how truly limited we are as humans?
On our own, we are limited. No matter how strong, smart, or well-connected we may be, there’s a limit to what we can do by human effort.
But thank God we’re not left to do life on our own.
We need help beyond ourselves. We need the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of truth, the Spirit of power, the Spirit of all possibilities.
So far in this series, we’ve looked at the Holy Spirit as: The Assurance of Our Salvation , The Believer’s Engine and as our Strength Over Sin – the helper who enables us to overcome the flesh and live in righteousness.
Each of these truths points back to one powerful reminder from Scripture:
“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts.
Zechariah 4:6
This was God’s word to Zerubbabel, but I believe it speaks to every believer today.

In our journey of faith, strength will fail. Willpower will give out. Discipline won’t always be enough. You’ll face battles you’re too weak to fight and mountains that seem too high to climb.
But we were never meant to do it alone.
The Holy Spirit is not a distant presence; He’s right there with you, to help, to comfort, to guide, to teach, to hold your hand when you’re falling apart, to gently restore you when
you’ve lost your way. And the times when we fall or fail, the Holy Spirit is right there guiding us back on track. How beautiful is that.
Because we have a God that has been in our future, He has seen those pitfalls and He knows that we cannot go through life alone. God loves us so much and the Holy Spirit is a proof of that love.
God doesn’t want slaves, He wants children with their free will, so He never imposes anything on us hence, as much as accepting the gift of salvation is our choice, allowing the Holy Spirit to lead our lives is also our choice.

A choice to daily submit to Him, a choice to daily depend on Him.
“One drop plus another , then another and it goes on , finally makes up an ocean”. This means that our daily habits that allow us to acknowledge Holy Spirit finally makes up a life that is consistently carried by the Spirit.
Just as we develop intimate relationships with people by spending time with them, we can also develop intimacy with the Holy Spirit. Start by talking to him, right now, because He is there. As long as you are born again, you have the Holy Spirit.
The presence of the holy spirit in our lives is a consciousness that we must carry, a relationship that we must acknowledge and prioritize in order to enjoy all that He has to offer us.
The Holy Spirit is “everything” to the believer and His presence is the greatest gift and honor of our lives.
Remember “Not by power, not by might, but by spirit says the lord”.

Everything is possible but only by the Spirit of the Lord. The phrase “let go and let God” comes to mind at this point.
So my partners on this Journey… “ let God”.
That’s how we grow—one surrendered moment at a time.
