FINISHING STRONG

FINISHING STRONG

At the London 2012 Olympics, Usain Bolt was looking forward to defending his Olympic gold medal title in the 100metres.

Unlike the Beijing Games four (4) years earlier, he’s going to need to be on top of his game to dislodge rival athletes like Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay, Asafa Powell, and most importantly the rave of the moment, who is also an athlete from Jamaica —- Yohan Blake.

Usain Bolt knew he would need to get everything right to guarantee standing a chance on the medal podium.

However, he had an undesirable start from the blocks.

A standard 100m race happens within the space of 10 seconds, and won within split seconds, but I could hear my mind feeling sorry for Usain as he was in distant 5TH position after a reasonable distance.

Surprisingly, Usain started gathering momentum, going pound for pound, stride against stride, thereby wining convincingly with a time of (9.63) secs.

His starting was not really good, but his finishing was so strong.

As Christians, we might not have had the best “start” into life, few missteps here and there, obvious mistakes running through our heels, but it would consume us totally if we eventually allow this set us back in the race to fulfilling our purpose.

The race of life can often feel so lonely and overwhelming like those thin path athletes race through.

At every stride you take, do not forget what God has told you, hold on to it and hold it tight- Guard it Jealously ! — Proverbs 4:23

The Words and judgement of men can look right, but they are not the TRUTH.

Do not be deceived away from the track of what He has told you in the Secret, He expects you to rely on Him alone, no matter the pressure on you.

Heaven and earth may pass away, but a glimpse of what He had said will not go unfulfilled.— MATTHEW 24:35

It is a race, it is a journey, and if you must eventually FINISH STRONG, you would need to HAVE FAITH.

MARK 11:22 “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.”

If you truly have Faith in God, His doing would eventually be marvellous in thy sight one day.
