I recently found out something beautiful and I knew that I just had to share it with you.

Two people that I completely adore mentioned in their teachings that they were Abba’s favorite children.

When I heard it, I smiled, because, in my heart I knew I was Abba’s favorite. Or so I thought.

Then it dawned on me.

God has a way of making us all feel special. It doesn’t matter the age, status, or even gender. Many of us would be able to testify about those moments, no matter how short, no matter how often,  when we feel intimately known by our Father.

Isn’t it amazing how we all feel like we are special to God?

I see this as one of the many endearing things about our Father. We are so many children yet He interacts with each one on a very personal basis.

There are days when I have to remind myself that God has many Children, because I feel so particularly loved by Him.

Although there are days when you may feel not so special, I also have those days. Days when I just want to throw in the towel.

But I am reminded on those days of the scripture Luke 12 vs 7 , “Every hair on your head is numbered“.

Did you hear that? As much as I love to care for my hair, I don’t think that my first choice of a hair care routine would involve me taking note of every strand of hair.

I can’t begin to tell you how much of a reassurance it is to know that I am that important to God.

We all are.

As unique individuals and as one big family

So my friend, on those days when you doubt His love, remember the many ways He has expressed himself through His word, and also remember the days when you wanted to argue with someone else about being Abba’s favorite.

We may be many, but He loves us all, each one uniquely and intentionally. Never forget that.
