PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT

PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT

Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us…

Romans 8 vs 26-27

One powerful way to take advantage of everything that the Holy Spirit offers is through prayer. It is a way in which we translate things from the spiritual realm into the physical one. It may seem convenient and more logical to pray in our own understanding and it is also important that we do, however, what happens when you run out of words?, or you don’t know how to put that exact situation into words that exist in the vocabulary?, what do you do then?.

As a man, your prayer life will be limited if you only rely on the things that you know. But remember that we have a God that knows everything, and He has given us a way by which we can access help…by praying in the Spirit.

When we pray in the Spirit, we exchange what we know for what the Lord knows. Scripture tells us that He (The Holy Spirit) searches the deep things of God, and so He helps us tailor our prayers to exactly the heart of Our Father.(1 Cor 2 vs 10). It is how He realigns our desires and redirects our path when we stray. It is how He strengthens us, and reveals hidden things to us. It is how we have the capacity to birth the things the Lord has placed within our spirits.

Praying in the Spirit will get things done when nothing else can.

For we do not know how to pray as we ought.

What happens when we pray in the Spirit is the Holy Spirit gives utterance to your Spirit, so that you no longer pray based on what’s in your head, but you pray as you are led by the Spirit of God.

You want to be led by the Spirit? Pray in the Spirit. You want access to divine knowledge of the things of God? Pray in the Spirit. You want to always pray the heart of the Father? Pray in the Spirit!!.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saint

(Ephesians 6 vs 18)

There must be action here on earth before we begin to see the full expression of God’s promises, and prayer is that bridge. People who give themselves to prayer often permit the Spirit of God to move here on earth, in their lives, in their families, as much as He wants.

When we pray in the spirit, our spirits are  permeable  and we are able to step into the system of Life that the Lord offers. Like I said earlier, it is the bridge that links the heavenly promises with your physical realities.

Great things happen when we pray in the Spirit, way beyond what our minds can fathom, way beyond provision of day to day wants and desires, way beyond the dreams we have for our lives.

“I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you” John 14 vs 18

Remember, you are not alone, The Holy Spirit is the God in you, and He will never leave you. He is the system by which we are sustained as we journey here on earth.

As much as we cannot exhaust any discussion on the Holy Spirit, we will end this series here. I pray that your heart is open to the One who longs for you, and that you get to enjoy limitless fellowship with Him.
