PATH (DIRECTION) OVER PACE (SPEED)

In physics, Speed is how fast something is moving, [ a scalar quantity ], while direction describes the path or way something is moving, [ a vector quantity ].

Beyond physics, these two also have deep-rooted fittings in the matters of a believer’s journey here on earth, one that should be keenly understood.

Seeing that in almost every phase and aspect of life, corresponding timings have been fixed, and the very last thing on our minds as we race to meet those specific targets is Patience.

This in turn has led to Christians prioritising how fast they move, rather than how right they are in their motion. A phenomenon that clearly contradicts the trait of those that are being led by Him (HOLY SPIRIT)

ROMANS 8:14
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.

A generation where speed is exaggerated beyond the core of direction, a time when the applause of men screams louder than the validity of God, a dispensation that trends towards attainment of earthly significance at the expense of her fulfilment of purpose.

If there is any climate that screams repentance the most, it has to be this, not just our change of heart, but also that of mind, whereby we value path over pace.

The Spirit of God beckons, we all need to obey this clarion call

Psalms 119:105 ;

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Can we just go back to the Holy Spirit, and not solely depend on our intellect. Always remember, no matter how fast (SPEED) or how far (DISTANCE), a wrong path (DIRECTION) can never lead to one’s DESTINATION.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
