“If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, ‘The Lord needs him, ‘and he will immediately           let     you            take     him.”–Mark11:3.

The story of the Tied-Colt is one that houses great depth of mysteries amongst many other events captured in the scriptures, understandably affiliated to Jesus being an embodiment of mystery, His conception, birth, death, burial, resurrection and ascension, all represented riddles at every glance, His choice to hop on a Colt that has never been ridden was just a fragment of His uniqueness.

Although many lessons can be unraveled from the mysteries available in this story, nevertheless, the AVAILABILITY of a colt to meet the need of Jesus’ grand entrance into Jerusalem without prior arrangement preceding His arrival other than deploying two disciples to secure it isn’t just puzzling, but needs to be keenly studied.

The Colt’s availability reflects series of intentional care that has been invested by the owner in its nurturing, positioned to the standard that fits the master’s [JESUS’] use, yet, he himself did not sit on it for once.

2 TIMOTHY 2:22—“ If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”

It wasn’t the only “available” Colt, others must have been available for a price, however, many commuters must have taken turns on them. Being available for God demands being consecrated and dedicated for a life of service to Him

Furthermore, the Colt of interest was available, yet, not readily available— it was tied, hindered, limited. Even though it had a virgin-dorsal stripe, it needed to be made free. The two disciples met it tied, glued to a tree, restricted and immobile.

The colt needed many things, nonetheless, the first instruction Jesus gave the two disciples was not for them to negotiate with its owner, but to loose it.

Mark 11:2 – “saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find a colt tied: which no man have sat on; loose him, and bring him           unto     me”.

Many people really want to be used by God with high level of influence for the kingdom, the question is, have they been made FREE by the SON?

JOHN 8:36 – “IF the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Liberation precedes availability, just as being used by God is sequel to the latter.

You might be soaked with the zeal and desire to be used of God, however, it must sink into our mindset that He doesn’t send the fellow in BONDAGE on a mission to LIBERATE others (just as a drowning man can’t save another drowning man).

He wants us to walk with Him before HE allows us to Work for Him. You really need to be saved. John 3:7
